ANGER MANAGEMENT & CONFLICT RESOLUTION
This group provides advanced anger management skills following a cognitive behavioral model. Participants will learn how unrealistic expectations and thought distortion causes their anger, and will learn rational emotive behavior therapy skills to challenge their personal and distorted thinking patterns. |

ANXIETY & DEPRESSION
Anxiety & Depression Group teaches participants about the signs and symptoms of these disorders within their personal lives. This group will help participants discover the challenge barriers, cope with panic attacks, and promote the positives in life. This group will teach skills to identify common thought misconceptions that may pose a barrier to the participant's recovery. The participant will also learn how to reframe these thoughts and focus on what they can control in their everyday lives.
DRUG & ALCOHOL EDUCATION & RECOVERY
The Drug & Alcohol Education & Recovery Group is designed for participants that do not believe they have a problem, or that they may be an abuser, or even be in full remission and recovery. Participants do not have to be substance abusers themselves to participate in this group; anyone can learn who may be interested in learning more about dependency and recovery. Education about substance abuse and dependency as well as the recovery process are the cornerstones of this group.
EMOTIONAL HEALTH
This group is designed to address behavior modification and stress management skills. Participants will learn to become aware of and eliminate negative behaviors in their repertoire, while concurrently substituting more positive behaviors. Participants will also identify personal stressors, practice several different forms of relaxation skills, and develop self-care and time management plans.
HEALING WITH CARE
The Healing Group explores sexual abuse issues including coping mechanisms, roles and forgiveness of themselves and others as well as learning how past abuse can effect the present. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will serve as the therapeutic model on the path to full recovery. Clients will be provided with workbooks that will allow them to reflect and process what they have learned.
INDEPENDENT LIVING GROUP
The Independent Living Group focuses on four elements; Employment Skills, Apartment Living, Money Management and Health Management. |

WELLNESS GROUP
The Wellness Group educates participants about various mental health disorders such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as coping mechanisms for each disorder. This group will aid participants in indentifying with the symptoms of their illness and how this affects their activities of daily living. The participant will actively practice techniques that will assist them in overcoming the barriers of their disorder.
WOMEN'S ISSUES
The Women's Issues Group is designed especially for women and focuses on specific issues that affect their lives. The curriculum covers various topics surrounding leadership, women in history, values, relationships, assertive communication, self-esteem, eating disorders, reproductive anatomy, sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, and birth control.
